Hi! I'm Drew.

Drew Coleman Tutoring

I love sharing my passion for learning through tutoring and have been at it for over a decade.

My all-time favorite students are those who are stuck in a negative mindset. “I’m no good at math.” “Chemistry is too hard for me.” I can fully empathize with these students, as I avoided math & science for many years of my life. I can also share my insights and passion for those same topics now that they are among my favorite things!

My other specialty is in learning disabilities. Over half of my test prep students have a diagnosis that allows for extended time or other accommodations for the SAT/ACT. I’ve received trainings from multiple LD centers and am continually educating myself to best serve my students.

Besides tutoring, I also:

  • Have a degree in Geology & Secondary Science Education.
  • Worked as an editor for the Darwin Manuscripts Project at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
  • Am an educator at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
  • Volunteer with the University of Edinburgh, transcribing the scientific notebooks of Sir Charles Lyell.

The families I work with often stay with me for years, through multiple subjects and siblings. I'd love to hear more about the needs of your student!
